The framework
The African Union endorsed its Continental AI Strategy in 2024. It presents an Africa-centred, development-oriented approach built around capability, risk, investment and cooperation.
The implementation test
National policy, finance and procurement determine what becomes real. Progress should be assessed through local research capacity, useful infrastructure and companies able to grow from African markets.
