Commission

An accepted assignment records scope, length, deadline, fee if any, rights, source expectations and editing process. Acceptance of a pitch does not guarantee publication.

Your responsibilities

Contributors warrant originality, secure permissions, retain notes, disclose conflicts and assistance, answer fact-check questions and correct mistakes. Publication is never exchanged for payment, investment, access or favourable coverage.

Editing and rights

Editors may change structure, headline and style while preserving meaning. Contributors review quotations and factual attributions where appropriate; subjects do not receive editorial approval. The signed commission will state licence, exclusivity and payment terms.
